TECHNICAL APPROACH

How do we make the selection?

01

Class matching

Sizes are matched to the machine class (tonnage) range in NG's product tables. Sizes within the range are marked “Fits”, and the one closest to the middle of the class is marked “Best fit”.

02

Lifting check

For grabs and orange peel grapples, total load = attachment weight + capacity × bulk density + rotator/adapter. A 100% fill is assumed and compared with the machine's OEM lifting capacity at the working radius.

03

Verified data only

Machine weights are filled in automatically only for models verified from manufacturer or dealer sources. For products with a compatibility list, the brand list is narrowed to that list.

Data sources and limits

Attachment dimensions: technical tables on the NG Attachments product pages. Machine weights: Cat dealer spec sheets, Hidromek, XCMG, LiuGong, sdlg.com, Volvo CE, hitachicm.com, Hyundai CE, develon-ce.com, the Liebherr brochure and Sumitomo spec sheets; a secondary source for Komatsu. The result is a preliminary fit check; final approval is given by NG engineering based on the machine serial number, pin dimensions and hydraulic values.

Attachment data is taken from the technical tables on the NG Attachments product pages. Machine weights are filled in automatically only for models verified from the listed sources; the same model may weigh differently in different configurations. Final suitability is confirmed by NG engineering with the machine serial number, pin diameters, pin centres and hydraulic values. Brand names belong to their respective owners and are used only to indicate compatibility.
